Events

Sigma Theta Psi, Theta Chapter hosts various events throughout the year. Most of these events focus on our National philanthropy, Breast Cancer Awareness. Our chapter is proud to be the benefactor to The Necessities Bag of Sacramento.

Culture Shock

Culture Shock is Theta Chapter’s main philanthropic event. It was created with the intention to bring breast cancer awareness and multicultural awareness to the Sacramento State community. We invite guest speakers who have been affected by breast cancer to share their stories and how breast cancer has affected them. As part of the multicultural portion of the event, we invite different groups to perform cultural dances and educate the attendees of the background of each dance. Culture Shock is hosted every spring semester.

STeP Up

STeP Up is a step and stroll competition aimed to bring Sacramento State organizations together to enjoy an evening full of step and stroll routines. This event allows different Greek organizations to demonstrate their roots and talent.

Think Pink Bake Sale

This is a yearly event held during the Fall semester to raise funds for our local beneficiary. Breast Cancer awareness information is also provided for any interested individuals. We take donations for delicious baked goods.

Pink Carnival

Pink Carnival is an event that provides awareness and education to the community about breast cancer. There is also entertainment with a variety of fun games and activities.
